Immortalized in popular music, culturally diverse Brooklyn has achieved almost legendary status. On the western end of Long Island, across the East River from Manhattan, this huge NYC borough is so densely populated that if it were its own city, it would rank as the 4th largest in the US!
The borough is connected to Manhattan by 3 bridges: Williamsburg, Manhattan and the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. It's also connected to Staten Island by the lengthy Verrazano Narrows Bridge. Ocean-going liners pass under here before docking at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in Red Hook. To the northeast, Brooklyn Bridge Park has some of the best views of the Manhattan skyline, while southeast is the huge Prospect Park.
On one edge is Brooklyn Museum, the country’s 2nd largest art gallery, and just behind is the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens whose cherry trees bloom a vibrant pink. To the east are some hotels near JFK Airport, and there are more in neighboring Queens.
At Brooklyn’s southernmost tip, Coney Island’s historic boardwalk has appeared in several films. Renovations are underway to bring it back to its former glory, and the revamped Luna features a historic wooden roller coaster. Also historic is the northern Greenpoint district with its elegant 19th-century houses.
Cheap Brooklyn hotels are great alternatives to accommodations in Manhattan, so check Booking.com for the best deals.
NYC what can i say? so much! Not only does BK have a vibe of it's own, it has different vibes. As a former resident, I look forward to doing all of the things that I never did when I lived there. Botanical gardens is next on the list.

Brooklyn is a vibrant, hip, and inclusive section of NYC.
Brooklyn is a vibrant, hip, and inclusive section of NYC. Parts of it remind me of the 60-70’s culture with a lot more money and style. People are busy but enjoy city life together at night. Brooklyn has a definite cool vibe. I felt it was an intelligent community and safe.

Great place that's evolved into a diverse chill environment.
Great place that's evolved into a diverse chill environment. Sure it's still the hustle bustle of Manhattan but it's more family oriented and less precious. You don't have to leave BK to enjoy food, culture and shopping. The museums and history is right there, along with sports and activities.

Brooklyn is actually very awesome.
Brooklyn is actually very awesome. You could totally just do Brooklyn stuff and skip all the Manhattan pretense. There is lots to do but sometimes a pain to get around on subway (can't get there from here type of thing). Brooklyn Chinatown is probably the best in the area as far as safety, cleanliness, and chill vibe.

The room was very cold in JANUARY Bk
The room was very cold in JANUARY Bk
The central air conditioning system is constantly blowing cold air.
The thermostat was not working.
All lights in the room were dim or NOT working at all.
The bathroom vent not working and it was dirty and it would NOT flush properly.
Overall poor customer service.
It would have been nice to arrive at the hotel I'd booked with Booking.com and which booking.com had confirmed to find it still operating as a hotel instead of arriving late at night with my son in downtown Brooklyn to be told the hotel had been taken over by the authorities and is now operating as a shelter leaving myself and my son alone at night after a 22 hour train journey in downtown Brooklyn with nowhere to stay. THAT would have been nice.
Room was very good, with separate kitchen with table (they provide the utensils if you ask), clean and neat bathroom. Staff were very friendly, breakfast is basic, but enough, good coffee :). Walking distance to the Williamsburg bridge to walk across from Brooklyn to NYC. Just remember as you are living in a Jewish community, from Friday afternoon till Sunday morning, shops and restaurants in the immediate vicinity are closed.
The hotel was spotless. Staff was very kind and helpful. Beds were super comfortable and the location was excellent. It was our NY vacation with our two years old. The room was a little bit small for us but super practical and we had everything we needed. Definitely coming back and I strongly recommend it. Location is superb to talk the bus to downtown Brooklyn or the train to Manhattan
.
The hotel is located in a convenient area. The hotel has all the amenities that you may need. There are restaurants close by. The hotel does not have a parking, but a parking garage is literally next door (30 seconds away). We stayed at this hotel, because it was close to the wedding place we had to go to, and the price was cheaper than other hotels close by. I would stay here again.
- Good location making it easy to explore Brooklyn or get into Manhattan
- Campbell was awesome and always welcomed everyone when they came into the hotel
- Cute lobby with art deco vibes
- Larger room than typical of NYC
- Good and strong air conditioning for hot and humid days
- 15 min walk to great shops, bars. restaurants, amazing views of the Brooklyn bridge
I was introduced to the Wythe by way of its spectacular rooftop bar (a must-see for the incredible views of Manhattan). When I found myself with an extra night in Brooklyn, it was an obvious choice. The hotel is lovely. The rooms are comfortable and spacious and the location is ideal for exploring. I had dinner at the bar of Le Crocodile and it did not disappoint!
I really enjoyed my stay at Pod Brooklyn, the staff were fantastic and super helpful. The location was perfect and it was easy to get around on public transport. I am a solo traveler and felt safe with security at the front door in the evenings. I had a great time and
would definitely choose to stay in this hotel again.
the hotel is really good.... the service is impecable.
I checked in the hotel with an employee named Luka, he made sure our stay was the best and when needed only with a message he was ready to help. if you are in Brooklyn or Manhattan area is a nice spot, very convenient and close to everything.
Great location, friendly staff, excellent restaurants and even though the rooms are small, they are well thought out, functional, stylish and quiet. The bed is super comfortable too! Having stayed in a number of hotels in Williamsburg, this is definitely the best value for money.
Very nice property and I really like the feel of most of these Indigo hotels. This one exceeded my expectations. Really nice bar on the 4th floor with views of lower Manhattan. The L train is right on the corner for a quick trip to Manhattan. Great Brooklyn vibe!
Hotel meets the expectations we have of a Marriott hotel. The location is great if you want to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge into Manhattan. The room we had was actually quite large, with a king bed and small corner sofa.
Nice location, great part of Brooklyn. We had a balcony room with a view of NYC. Great to see the views and sunrise in a morning. Hotel itself has a restaurant which provides good food and enjoyable breakfast.
Beautiful hotel in a great part of Brooklyn. The staff was amazing and so kind, always a smile and a greeting from everyone. We had a great view from our room and just loved every minute of it.
The hotel is really close to a lot of subway lines, so perfect for exploring both Manhattan and Brooklyn. The room had everything we needed, the bed was huge and comfortable.
Best place to have a real experience of the neighbourhood of New York, Brooklyn in this case. Forget the hotels. In this place you can live 100% your journey in NY
